**An 'edit' is taking one of the purchased photo's and creating an alternative look with it, e.g. a black & white or duo-tone version.

I attend many events, during the year, and regularly walk the track for different angles and positions. These photo's vary in size, due to the image cropping necessary in some track-side locations. As is to be expected, some photo's will be in a similar location and position on-track, and I am happy to count these as one photo (as long as they do not vary too much). I will perform some basic editing to bring out the best of the image.

The photo's will be uploaded to my Facebook page, scaled down and watermarked, in an album, and you can decide on the photo's you would like to purchase from there.

Custom Photography/Light-Painting

I will come to a location of your choosing (where practical) and spend a couple of hours taking as many photographs as I can fit in (you can assist in this!)  I will take the photo's and give them a basic level of editing to make the most of the photo's taken. This will typically be some slight colour-correction, and slight tweaks to the luminance, clarity and noise of the images. I can also add a simple graduated filter and/or vignette, if you so wish?

The photo's will be scaled down, watermarked and sent to you by either email or the Painted Pixels Facebook page for your perusal.

How to pay?

After you have chosen the images you like, I will send the full-resolution images to you in an email attachment. These images are watermarked, but allow you to see the final image quality before you decide to buy them or not. If you decide to go ahead, I ask for full payment in advance. Paypal is the easiest/quickest way, but bank transfer, cheque or good 'ol cash-in-hand is also acceptable

Once funds have cleared I can either send the full-sized, final images via email, posted as a CD/DVD for a small, additional cost or to a cloud site where you can download them yourself* They can be provided in a variety of output formats at no extra cost, such as JPEG, TIFF, BMP, TGA, PNG.  Digital Negative (DNG), RAW or NEF files will be included in your purchase (where possible).

* Uncompressed files can be big. So be prepared for large downloads.

What else can I do?

Digital Retouching and Visual Effects

I am a trained computer animator, visual effects producer and University lecturer in both subjects, with over twenty year's experience in Adobe Photoshop and 3D modelling software amongst others.

If you require more extensive editing, retouching or digital manipulations of the final images, we can discuss the additional costs, based on the time needed to complete the desired effect. This could be for things such as: -

Removing blemishes to the vehicle, such as dead bugs and/or minor scuff marks

Replacing the scenery with a new background image.

Replacing reflections on glass

Compositing more than one image together

Adding text or graphic logo's

Adding 3D scenery/objects created in a 3D software package

Note: If the lightstick has been used, the editing may be very intensive  (if not impossible), due to the amount of reflections and colour it creates.

Printing Facilities

I have printing options for  large-scale output - up to A0 height/width and banner printing, on various grades of weighted paper or canvas. I create my own wooden mounts in-house, up to a certain size, if needed.

Prices for prints vary, based on height, width and materials used. Please, email me or send me a message via the Painted Pixels UK Facebook page.
